Frequently Asked Questions
How does verified movement work?
When you start a Verified Walk or Run, The System measures your GPS movement during the mission to verify the distance you actually covered. Once the mission is successfully verified, your progress is applied to your Daily Quest.
Can I buy Hunter Ranks?
No. Hunter Rank is earned entirely through completed missions and consistency. There is no way to purchase, skip, or boost your Rank — not now, not ever.
How do cosmetics work?
Cosmetics—including avatars, borders, backgrounds, titles, and auras—are earned through gameplay or unlocked as rewards. They are purely visual and never affect progression or gameplay.
Will there be multiplayer?
Guilds and Events are planned for future updates. The current release focuses on building your Hunter through personal progression.
How do I restore my account?
If you secured your Hunter with an email and password, you can restore your progress by signing in on a new device. If you only used an anonymous account, your progress cannot be recovered.
Does The System track my location all the time?
No. The System only accesses your location while a Verified Walk or Run mission is active. It does not track your location at any other time.
Can I play offline?
No. The System needs a connection to generate your Daily Quest, verify missions, and save your progress.
Can I lose my Hunter Rank?
No. Hunter Rank never decreases. Missing days can reset your Active Quest streak or trigger Recovery Protocol, but your Rank itself only ever moves forward.
Why didn't my verified walk count?
A Verified Walk or Run needs a continuous, plausible GPS track for the full session. It can fail to register if location permission was denied, the app was closed mid-session, or GPS signal was lost. Contact support if this happens to you.
Can I change my Hunter Name?
Not yet. Your Hunter Name is set once during onboarding and can't currently be renamed from within the App.
Will Android be supported?
The System: Hunter is currently in development for iOS. We don't have an Android release to announce at this time.
