Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of The System: Hunter (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

An anonymous account is created automatically when you first open the App. You may optionally secure your account with an email and password ('Secure Account'), which allows you to restore your progress on a new device. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

Progress tied to an anonymous account that has never been secured cannot be recovered if you lose access to your device or reinstall the App.

Hunter Rank, XP, streaks, and mission completion cannot be purchased, boosted, or skipped by any means. Every Hunter progresses under the same rules. Cosmetic items available in the App (avatars, borders, backgrounds, titles, and auras) are purely visual and never affect gameplay, progression speed, or Rank in any way.

Cosmetic items can currently be unlocked using in-game currency (Essence Shard, System Crystal) earned by completing missions. This currency cannot currently be purchased with real money.

The App offers optional real-money purchases of System Crystal, a cosmetic in-game currency, processed entirely through Apple's In-App Purchase system and subject to Apple's standard payment and refund terms. System Crystal purchases are consumable — once credited to your account, the purchase is complete and the currency is spent on cosmetic items at your discretion.

Refunds for In-App Purchases are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, not by us directly. To request a refund, use Apple's standard refund request process (reportaproblem.apple.com or Settings > [your name] > Media & Purchases on your device).

Cosmetic items are licensed for use within the App and tied to your account. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred, sold, or redeemed for real money, and may be added, adjusted, or retired as the App evolves.

Achievements are earned by completing specific in-game conditions and reflect your actual play history. Achievements cannot be purchased or granted outside of meeting their conditions.

You agree not to:

• Falsify or spoof GPS location to fraudulently complete a Verified Walk or Run mission.

• Use bots, scripts, emulators, or any automated means to interact with the App.

• Exploit bugs for unintended progress or rewards instead of reporting them.

• Interfere with other users' accounts or the App's infrastructure.

• Attempt to reverse-engineer server-side verification logic to circumvent it.

We reserve the right to reset progress, revoke rewards, or suspend accounts found to be violating these rules.

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the App for violation of these Terms, at our discretion, with or without notice.

The App encourages real-world physical activity, but is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Consult a physician before beginning any new physical activity, especially if you have a pre-existing condition.

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including injury sustained during physical activity performed to complete a mission.

These Terms shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable in the country where the publisher of the App is established, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws.

We may update these Terms as the App changes. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
